EXTRUDED HOLLOW LINEAR SHAFTS

(Product Selection) Permanent link

Hollow linear shafts are designed to decrease the weight of the shaft, or  by adding pipe threads to each end, in order to allow liquid or air to pass through (in some cases the liquid may assist in cooling the shaft) as well as to run electrical wiring.  When specifying a hollow shaft; REMEMBER the extruded hole's location (concentricity) and tolerances are not very accurate due to the fact that the hollow shaft is extruded and not machined.  Please see the hollow shaft location accuracy chart.

Parts that no longer exist in 2009 Metric Catalog

(Frequently Asked Questions) Permanent link

Some of our customers have asked us about parts that exsisted in the 2008 Metric catalog that are no longer available in 2009. Generally, those are the parts that were recently introduced, but had not been very popular. Usually these components are still available until end of March of the following year. Our 09 catalog was released at the end of 2008, so those parts should be available until end of March 2009. In some cases the parts may still be sold for several years after they have been removed from the catalog. To find out if a part is still available, send the part number to our customer service and they will check verify if the part can be obtained.

You can reach customer service by calling Misumi at (800)-681-7475, Fax us at (800)-681-7401 or email us at Inquire@misumiusa.com To view a list of Discontinued Parts, CLICK HERE.
