EMPOWERING ENGINEERS WITH CONFIGURABLE COMPONENTS
No Standardization Department Required -
Achieving Efficiency at the Component Level

Drawing, sizing, measuring, specifying takes precious resources to complete. Large machine builders have heavily invested in the concept of standardization to minimize these costs. But, where does this leave the medium to small machine builders who can not afford to create a department designated to improving productivity, efficiency and quality through standardization?

Technical Calculation - Selection of Single Axis Actuator

Use the technical calculation of Single Axis Actuator as the reference guide
when selecting Misumi LX actuator. Calculation guidelines

1. Determine operating conditions
2. Prepare a speed diagram based on the acceleration, maximum speed and travel

3. Calculate life span (service life) of LX rail-nut block, Ball Screw and support bearings
4. The actuator life span is smallest (shortest) value among calculated life spans

MISUMI Expands XYZ-AXIS Stages Offering
Over 40 more items added to existing line, including new designs, materials and finishes

MISUMI USA, Inc. announces the immediate availability of over 40 new additions to its established line of XYZ-axis stages for machine builders and other designers of high-precision motion systems. Many of these new stages offer a precise linear ball guide system, developed by Misumi engineers, which creates a gothic arch groove ball guide on both the upper and lower side of the stage body. With two arcs and four ball contact points, a considerably higher rigidity is achievable.

More than 97% of Misumi components are RoHS compliant

What is RoHS? The "Directive 2002/95/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 January 2003 on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment" is better known as the RoHS directive. Manufacturers worldwide who wish to market their products in Europe, need to understand the requirements of the RoHS Directive and ensure that their products, and their components comply. The RoHS Directive’s scope is originally for consumer electronics, and does not require industrial, proprietary manufacturing equipment to meet these targets. But many companies are proactively setting their internal purchasing standards to comply, not only in Europe, but all over the world.
