Motek Germany 2007
The international trade fair for Assembly and Handling Technology
MISUMI experienced phenomenal success at Motek Germany, a leading world trade fair for assembly and application technology that was a part of the new Trade Fair Stuttgart held September 24-27, 2007. The international Trade Fair for Assembly and Handling Technology featured process chain, production and assembly automation.
MISUMI, the world's largest supplier of configurable components for assembly automation, displayed more than 600 out of the 500,000 total components offered in the MISUMI catalog. Visitors to the MISUMI exhibit were able to experience all its innovations through five different "island" showcases, all designed to highlight the practical benefits and applications of MISUMI's unique products.
Visitors were readily able to target islands of interest with headers marked "Locating" (examples: XY stages and inspection components), "Standard" (examples: piping components, levers and handles), "Machine body" (examples: aluminum frames and resin plates), "Guiding" (examples: slide guides and bushings), and "Motion" (examples: couplings, manifolds and pulleys). Also, MISUMI introduced the recent addition to its portfolio: linear units.
Motek is one of most succeeding exhibitions in Europe. For instance, 915 exhibiting companies participated at the last Motek in 2006, including 851 exhibitors and 64 additionally represented companies. Overall exhibition floor amounted to nearly 480,000 square feet, and the event attracted 29,052 visitors.
