Product Spotlight : Single Axis Actuators
Application Examples
Use of 1 axis - Feeder unit
When products are supplied from the parts feeder, LX actuator is used to align the parts during constant feeding. Aligned parts are taken out with a handler and the parts are set for simultaneous multiple part assembly.
Use of LX actuator enables combination of part quantities to be aligned as well as alignment spacing. This is useful in simultaneous multi-part assembly production process as it aides in the reduction of cycle time.
Use of 2 axis - Adhesive Dispenser unit
This is an example of the use of two LX actuator axes for an adhesive application unit.
The upper LX actuator is used to hold the dispenser and to provide precision travel in the X-axis. The lower LX actuator is designed to transfer work pieces to the application area, and provide precision travel in the Y direction.
With precision travelling in the Y axis and the use of a workpiece transfer mechanism, cost reduction can also be achieved.
Use of 3-axis combination - Soldering unit
This is an example in which a heating source such as a YAG laser head, xenon lamp is mounted for noncontact soldering.
With 3 axes LX actuators, the Z axis is moved to adjust the focal length. Soldering for electronic parts with different mounting heights can also be achieved. 3-axis control is essential in subassembly process for complex electronic parts.
